When you think of Norway you probably think of fjords. There are more than a thousand fjords in Norway, all along the coast. But most of the iconic ones – those you may have seen on the postcards, like the Nærøyfjord, the Sognefjord, the Lysefjord the Geirangerfjord – are located on the west coast.
There are several cheap flights to get to Norway where you can rent a car and go exploring the fjords. You can go to Stavanger which is probably the closest you can get for a decent price. Alternatively, you can go to Oslo and drive from there.
London-Stavanger (17 – 20 August)
This is an early flight out, but then you’ll have the whole day for exploring Norway.
London-Oslo (22-27 August)
If you decide to go to Oslo here is an option from Stansted airport.
